Welcome to this month’s edition of the Soundmass.com Update. In the news department, Soundmass is pleased to announce the signing of Western Australian band Grave Forsaken for the release of their 3rd album, “This Day Forth”, due out in early 2009. Formed in 2004, this rising thrash band has been polishing their skills with regular recording and live performances, never forgetting their roots with strong influences from the classic Christian metal era. We can’t wait to put their new album out and will keep you informed as the release date approaches.

In other interesting news, many of you may already be aware that the Australian dollar has lost a lot of value against foreign currencies in recent weeks. This is good news for our overseas customers as it results in lower prices for you, especially for those in the USA. For example, our average CD price of $20 Australian dollars is currently equivalent to around $13 US dollars, which is a very nice price to be paying for an imported CD.

And, man, do we have a lot of fantastic new releases in this Update! On the re-issue front, the first 2 Deliverance CDs – “Deliverance” and “Weapons Of Our Warfare” - finally see the light of day, Jacobs Dream is back with “Dominion Of Darkness”, Bombworks and Retroactive Records have just released Sympathy “Anagogic Tyranny”, My Silent Wake “A Garland Of Tears” and Faith Factor “Against A Darkened Sky”, Winter's Dawn hit us with their debut “Wandering Through The Realm Of Frosted Beauty”, the long wait is over for Mortification’s double DVD “Live Humanitarian” and, if you like classic thrash in the vain of early Deliverance and Vengeance, we highly recommend getting Arnion “Fall Like Rain”.
